A Spectis drop in ceiling tile is a molded high-density polyurethane panel with architectural relief. Two catalog parts are named as drop-in panels: CP2904 at 23-5/8 inches square for a standard 24-by-24 suspended opening, and CP2905 at 47-3/4 inches for a larger lay-in field. HDP is a closed-cell polyurethane. Spectis pours the mix into a mold, holds it under pressure, trims the flash, and coats the part with an exterior-grade primer. Density is close to pine, so you get plaster- or wood-scale relief without that weight. The face is ready for latex paint, gel stain, or a glazed finish. Do not expect a factory color beyond the primed white.

These are millwork panels with profile depth, not 0.03-inch thermoform film.
Glue-up and screw-up panels belong on a framed soffit, tray, porch ceiling, or feature bay. Spectis specifies interior and exterior use. Porch ceilings, covered entries, dining trays, and restoration rooms are typical. The material will not rot if it is fastened and painted as directed. It is not a structural deck and it is not sold as a fire-rated acoustic tile.
Installers cut HDP with standard woodworking tools. Bedding and butt joints take PL Premium polyurethane adhesive only. Other adhesives can attack the urethane. Finish nails or low-profile screws hold the part while the adhesive cures. Fill fastener holes, then paint. Paint after the part is in place if you want the face and the fasteners to read as one surface.
